2025 SCCUR Conference: CSU Channel Islands

Dr. Harber and his team of students presented 3 posters at this past November's SCCUR conference. In this boasting of new material, students were able to participate in poster presentation sessions explaining their research in both the Cardiac Project and the Oral Microbiome Project. 

A huge accomplishment for all the student researchers working with Dr. Harber in sharing their experiences and research with the community.

2025 ASM Conference

This past June, Dr. Harber and his team presented the most recent iteration of the oral microbiome project, Oral Microbiomes Reveal Concerning Patterns of Specific Bacteria Associated with Dysbiosis and Reproductive Diseases of Women.

WINNER: BEST INNOVATION at Hamlyn Symposium on Medical Robotics in London, UK.

This past June, Harber and his team won the category: best innovation for their work in Cardiothread. This achievement was based off the presentation: Cardiothread, A Living Suture for Robotic Heart Surgery. This year's theme is Immersive Tech: The Future of Medicine. 

This symposium is the highlight event for the Hamlyn Center for Robotic Surgery and allows leading researchers and experts to present the most novel findings of the year. The symposium features a wide variety of disciplines associated with robotics and robotic surgery

About Dr. Harber

Dr. Harber has been teaching Microbiology for the last 25 years at a variety of institutions including  Humbolt, Stony Brook, California Technology, Sonoma State, CSUN, Moorpark College, Ventura College, California State University at Channel Island, and Oxnard College. ​​
